✅ Position Overview
The Lead Technical Consultant – Spatial Intelligence & Solution Delivery is a key delivery role focused on technical execution, solution delivery, and hands-on guidance across GIS, AI, and modernization projects. This position drives clarity and quality by leading technical workflows, coordinating delivery activities, and ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
This role blends deep technical expertise with the ability to support and guide team members, making it central to Simply Spatial's mission to deliver modern, high-impact spatial solutions.
This role blends:
Configuring and deploying Esri technologies
Designing and optimizing GIS workflows and automation
Supporting GeoAI and modernization initiatives
Coordinating technical tasks and delivery milestones
Collaborating with leadership on solution strategy and planning
Providing guidance to consultants and analysts
✅ Key Responsibilities
Configure and deploy Esri technologies (ArcGIS Enterprise, Online, Pro, Field Maps, Hub, Indoors)
Build and optimize GIS workflows, automations, apps, dashboards, and spatial data models
Support GeoAI workflows, predictive analytics, and modernization efforts
Perform spatial data management, ETL, schema design, QA/QC, and integrations
Coordinate technical tasks, manage competing priorities, and ensure alignment with project plans
Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and solution design workshops
Lead client demos, trainings, and knowledge transfer sessions
Promote best practices, reusable accelerators, and delivery playbooks
Provide guidance to consultants and analysts to maintain quality and consistency
Support team success by sharing knowledge, removing roadblocks, and elevating solution quality through coaching and feedback.
✅ Required Experience
Required Qualifications:
4–7+ years of GIS or geospatial consulting experience
Strong hands-on expertise with Esri technologies (ArcGIS Online, Pro, Enterprise, Field Apps)
Experience supporting technical delivery and coordinating tasks
Ability to organize workstreams and manage competing priorities
Strong communication, facilitation, and client engagement skills
Experience with Python, SQL, Arcade, ETL, or automation workflows
Understanding of cloud environments (Azure or AWS preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to support others through clear communication, collaboration, and problem-solving
Ability to travel 20–30% for workshops, discovery, deployments, and client engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AI/GeoAI workflows, predictive analytics, or automation
Background in government, utilities, engineering, or asset management systems
Exposure to IT modernization, cybersecurity frameworks, or DevOps pipelines
Experience delivering presentations, briefs, trainings, or workshops
